It is planned that in the near future, the AIMS-Sénégal institute will include a research center, like the one opened in 2008 at AIMS South-Africa (shown on the picture), with thematic trimesters on subject of interest for science and Africa. It wont include permanent researchers but its functioning will be inspired by the one of eg the Henri Poincaré Institute in Paris or the Newton institute in Cambridge.
